Didn’t think I was gonna complete the day with one final push left: my ride. I didn’t feel like going.

I watched the pre-death last interview of Eric Dane. Not for kids. At least in my opinion. But, the interviewer made a big deal about the idea of resilience. A topic also discussed in a book I need to pick back up, Resolute How We Humans Keep Finding Ways to Beat the Toughest Odds. Author, Benjamin Hall. Most classy and genuine person in broadcasting. He also talks about resilience. I think these two gentlemen are talking about the need for resilience in the human journey.

Both Dane and Hall, got hit with some real hard to understand circumstances. Eric Dane with Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Which, doesn’t have enough funding to cure. But with the right backing could find one. A possible solution to a extremely horrible way to have life end.

Then there’s Benjamin Hall. Who should be dead. But, as he talks about. Because of his belief that he must get back to see his children. Was somehow able to suffer through unimaginable pain and fear. Being the only survivor of a car bomb attack or onslaught of something terrible covering the Ukraine and Russia war.

I think the importance of the argument that both men touch on. Dane in the word – I think – persistent. Hall even talked about the necessity for celebration of this quality in humans. Invictus Games. But also the smaller victories in our lives.

The interviewer, Eric Dane, and Benjamin Hall, were all talking about resilience because it’s the starter characteristic in all of us. And the more we use it. The more we benefit. Hall explains all this I’m sure. I think this is really the point Hall was making. Resilience is like a muscle. The more we use it, the stronger it gets. And that’s a beautiful thing.
